7-Day Sailing Itinerary: Grenada to the Grenadines - with Freediving
Overview:
This 7-day itinerary takes you on a beautiful sailing adventure from Grenada to the Grenadines, with stops at some of the most picturesque islands, offering opportunities for freediving, snorkeling, and exploring vibrant marine life.
Day 1: Arrival in Grenada - Boarding the Boat

Arrive in Grenada
Arrive in Grenada and head to your chartered boat in St. George's. Once aboard, settle in and familiarize yourself with the vessel and crew. Spend the day getting comfortable, unpacking, and preparing for your sailing adventure. -
Evening
After settling in, enjoy a relaxed evening at the marina or take a short walk around St. George’s. Enjoy dinner at one of the local waterfront restaurants, where you can sample fresh Caribbean seafood. -
Overnight:
Staying aboard the boat at the marina or we will anchor nearby for a peaceful night's rest.
Day 2: Grenada to Carriacou

Morning: Sail to Carriacou
After breakfast, we set sail from St. George’s, Grenada, towards Carriacou. The journey takes about 3-4 hours depending on the wind and sea conditions. Relax and enjoy the scenic views as you head north, on the way we can chat about freediving, relaxation and breathing for nervous system regulation. -
Arrive at Carriacou
Once we arrive in Carriacou, we will anchor at one of the calm bays. Carriacou is known for its relaxed vibe and natural beauty, perfect for a peaceful introduction to the Grenadines. -
Freediving Spot:
The Sisters – Just off the coast of Carriacou, these two small islands offer pristine coral reefs and abundant marine life. Freediving here is a must, with the crystal-clear waters and vibrant underwater ecosystems. -
Evening:
After your dive, explore the local village or relax on the beach. We will eat on shore at Tim's Sunset Bar and Restaurant, only accessible by boat, we enjoy a delicious fresh fish BBQ dinner.
Day 3: Carriacou to Union Island

Sail to Union Island
In the morning, we set sail for Union Island, located about 3-4 hours away from Carriacou. Union Island offers stunning views as you approach the island’s volcanic peaks. -
Arrive at Union Island
We pass Clifton Harbour, the island’s main town, but will continue to our freediving spot for the day! -
Freediving Spot:
Happy Island – Just off Union Island’s coast, Happy Island is a small, man-made island surrounded by calm, clear waters. It’s a fantastic spot for freediving and snorkeling, with abundant coral gardens and tropical fish. -
Evening:
Explore Union Island or unwind on the beach with a refreshing cocktail. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and take in the island’s relaxed vibe.
Day 4: Union Island to Mayreau

Sail to Mayreau
After breakfast, sail for 1-2 hours to Mayreau, a peaceful island known for its stunning beaches and natural beauty. -
Arrive at Mayreau
Mayreau is quiet and undeveloped, offering the perfect place to escape the crowds and where we can immerse ourselves in nature. Its sandy beaches and calm waters make it a paradise for water lovers. -
Freediving Spot:
Salt Whistle Bay – This crescent-shaped beach is perfect for a morning dive. The shallow waters are ideal for beginners, while the deeper areas are rich in marine life for experienced freedivers. -
Evening:
We will have a relaxing evening at one of the small local eateries while unwinding on the beach as the sun sets over the horizon.
Day 5: Mayreau to Tobago Cays

Sail to Tobago Cays
Set sail to the Tobago Cays Marine Park, just 1-2 hours from Mayreau. This is one of the most sought-after destinations in the Grenadines, offering pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. -
Arrive at Tobago Cays
Upon arrival, anchor in one of the sheltered bays. The Tobago Cays are a group of five uninhabited islands surrounded by a marine park, and it’s an absolute paradise for snorkeling, diving, and freediving. -
Freediving Spot:
Tobago Cays Reefs – The waters surrounding Tobago Cays offer some of the best freediving in the region. Dive among vibrant coral gardens, sea turtles, rays, and schools of colorful fish. The visibility here is exceptional, making it perfect for underwater exploration. -
Evening:
Enjoy a relaxing evening on the boat where we enjoy dinner, then a light evening breathwork and meditation for winding down the nervous system to sleep.
Day 6: Tobago Cays to Petit St. Vincent

Sail to Petit St. Vincent
After breakfast, sail to Petit St. Vincent, a luxurious and peaceful island just 1-2 hours away from Tobago Cays. This small private island is known for its high-end resorts, tranquil atmosphere, and natural beauty. -
Arrive at Petit St. Vincent

Freediving Spot:
Petit St. Vincent Reefs – The surrounding waters of Petit St. Vincent offer fantastic freediving conditions. Explore the vibrant coral reefs and encounter a variety of marine species in the shallow waters. -
Evening:
Visit one of the island’s exclusive beach bars for a sunset cocktail, and we enjoy a quiet dinner at a local restaurant overlooking the ocean.
Day 7: Petit St. Vincent to Grenada

Sail back to Grenada
We begin our return sail back to Grenada after breakfast, a journey that will take approximately 5-6 hours. On our way back, take in the scenic views of the Caribbean Sea and the Grenadines archipelago. -
Arrive in Grenada
Once back in Grenada, if you have time, visit St. George’s for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before the trip concludes. -
Freediving Spot:
Moliniere Bay – If you have some time before disembarking, stop at Moliniere Bay for a final freediving session. This site is famous for its Underwater Sculpture Park, where you can dive among sculptures and vibrant marine life. -
Evening:
Celebrate the end of your sailing adventure with a farewell dinner in Grenada, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of the past week.
